If you choose to follow the cooking classes here are some ideas of how your
week at Podere Lucia could look like.
Saturday: Arrival and in evening drinks and dinner on the terrace of our house,
enjoying the most wonderful sunset.
Sunday: a relaxed breakfast, rest of the day free to visit the nearby towns such as
Monticchiello, Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino.
Dinner: at Podere Lucia with its stunning panorama.
Monday: 10.00 Hrs. start first cooking class, hands on for everybody, click for
example on MENU
13.00 Hrs. Lunch (of the dishes cooked during the cooking class) on the terrace,
overgrown with grapes and flowers. Rest of afternoon and evening free for
excursions, sight seeing or just resting at the swimming pool.
Tuesday: Day off to visit the hot springs spa or a wine farm where you can taste
the exclusive wines of the region, such as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, or Brunello
di Montalcino and Vin Santo.
In evening: dinner at Podere Lucia
Wednesday: a visit to a local market, where we buy the fresh ingredients for the
second cooking lesson that starts at 16.00 Hrs.
At 20.00 Hrs. dinner that was prepared during the cooking class, on the candle lit
terrace, overlooking the valley and enjoying the sunset.
Thursday: after a quiet breakfast, you can use your day to make a stroll on the
strade bianche (the gravel roads), enjoying the beautiful views, or you can visit
Florence or Siena or you can just stay at home and take a suntan in the garden
and swimming pool.
20.00 Hrs. Dinner in the garden
Friday: during the morning you are free to just enjoy what the surroundings have
to offer you, make a walk on the paths around our house, or you come with me to
do the shopping for the cooking lesson that starts at 16.00 Hrs. During this lesson
we prepare all sorts of nice anti pasti and various desserts for the last evening of
your stay at Podere Lucia "I Falchi".
Saturday morning: first a nice long breakfast, than back home!!
